MLA Essay Heading

• Page numbers should go in the header of your Word file. Page numbering begins on the very first page and continues consecutively through the Bibliography/Work(s) Cited Page.
• Name through date lines go ONLY on the first page.
• Center the title, but do not bold or underline it or put it in quotes. Use italics for the name of the book your essay is based on. (Note: This sample is based on an LTW essay. Your title may vary depending on your writing assignment. The formatting rules still apply.)
• Use first-line indent for all the paragraphs of the essay. Do NOT put an extra space between paragraphs.
