I am Terri Kammerzell, and I've been tutoring academic homeschool classes since January of 2013. I began homeschooling my own son when he was in fifth grade and continued until his graduation in June 2017. My testimony summed up in three words: God is faithful! This truth blesses me so much, and I continue to be blessed by the opportunities to come alongside homeschool families in their journeys to give their students the best God-pointed customized education they can. I have taught a wide array of classes in the past, from directing musicals and building LEGO® projects to teaching high school core classes and, of course, my favorite: Creation Apologetics. The best part is that I get to learn as I teach!
I've often said that if variety is the "spice of life," then I have a very bold appetite for living. I ve dabbled in various professional fields, and in addition to my current role as Homeschool Tutor, I also work as Office Administrator for Flourish Christian Counseling, I am part of the team at Biblical Science Institute, and I volunteer with the Creation Fellowship Santee online group. I have an associate of science degree in math and science, an associate of arts degree in social and behavioral sciences, a two-year certificate in computer applications, and now I am earning my Bachelor's in Christian Counseling. Praise the Lord for His goodness and provisions in every stage of life! One thing I can tell you for sure is that Bill Gaither was correct when he wrote in the classic hymn, "The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows."
After ten consecutive years of teaching classes for homeschoolers, last year I took a sabbatical. This year (2024-25) I am doing some private tutoring on a limited basis. If you find yourself needing assistance with paperwork or with classes for your 7th-12th grade students, please email me to see if I might be able to help you.
