1 Peter 3:15 challenges Christians to "always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear" (NKJV). Creation apologetics is a great opportunity for Christians to learn how to defend their faith, from the perspective of the foundations of the Word and of the forming of the world. In fact, many Christian apologists argue that at the fundamental core of the Christian message is a need for people to realize Who made them and the beautiful world around them, pointing out that many of the battles Christians fight today against secular and humanist ideas actually stem from a lack of understanding of origins.

It's important to keep in mind, of course, that Creation apologetics has two different perspectives. While it is always good to know the science and facts that support the Creator as described in the Bible, it is also important to understand that we all--Christians and non-Christians alike--live in the same world and have access to the same evidence. How a person interprets that evidence is completely based on the prompting and convictions of the Holy Spirit, and on his own pre-established worldviews. Soon we will be adding a second set of 49 Fun Facts, these from a "presuppositional" approach, and including a set of Bible verses useful for personal evangelism. |
